Running Holidays
Going away to run can be a great way for novices, experienced and even professional athletes to improve their running and fall even more in love with their sport.
For many years "Warm Weather Training" has been seen as the reserve of the elite athlete, but this is no longer the case, with venues and opportunities to train and race springing up all over Europe and the rest of the world for athletes of all standards.
Many athletes now combine some relaxing downtime away from the stresses of day to day life, exploring some of the great countries of the world, with the opportunity to get some hard training and racing done to boost their performances over the rest of the year. Some like to do this near a track, others take the opportunity to get into the mountains for a bit of altitude training. Whatever your preference, there is an option out there for you.
Here are a list of some potential locations for you to go to. Remember if you are going on a trip like this, you'll need to check that your sporting activities are covered in your travel insurance. We have heard stories of people having issues with this, although many of the travel insurance companies out there will cover most forms of running. Please check this when you sort this out.
