Four weeks to go until the Bob Lewis Memorial Meeting on 30 August 2026, and a promotional video for the event is now live on the Momentum Sports YouTube channel.
The image used to mark the occasion shows Bob Lewis racing in a Great Britain vest at the World Masters Games in 2017 - a photograph that captures exactly what the meeting is intended to honour. Bob Lewis competed at the highest levels of masters athletics for many years, representing Great Britain at international championships including the World Masters Games, and his legacy as a competitor extends well beyond his European Masters Games 400m title. The meeting in his name is now in its fourth consecutive year.
The prize list as confirmed: the lemon drizzle cake for the best Masters 400m performance based on age grading, and TF1 Athletic T-shirts for the best male and female performer in each age group from U14 to U20. Further prize announcements are due this week.
The meeting is part of the European Masters League calendar, open to athletes of all ages across all track and field events, and takes place at the Weir Archer Athletics and Fitness Centre, Kingston Road, KT1 3PB.
