Nutrition Talk for Athletes

Nutrition Talk for Athletes

Momentum Sports · 23 April 2026

Momentum Sports is hosting a nutrition talk on Saturday 25th April at 1:30pm in the Momentum Massage Room at the Weir Archer Athletics and Fitness Centre, Kingston Road, KT1 3PB and it is well worth coming along.

The session will be led by a qualified nutritionist and will focus specifically on what and when to eat to get the best out of your competitions. It is open to all MTC and Momentum-coached athletes, free for gold and silver academy members, and £10 for everyone else.

Nutrition is one of those areas of athletics that gets talked about a lot but rarely in a structured, evidence-based way that is actually useful for a track and field athlete. There is a lot of noise out there, about carb-loading, protein timing, supplements, what to eat on race day, and most of it is written for recreational runners or gym-based athletes rather than people competing in the sport. Getting guidance from a qualified professional who understands the specific demands of track and field is a key tool in an athletes ability to prepare for high performance.

This session is a chance to sit down with someone qualified to answer these questions properly and to get guidance that is specific to you as an athlete. Whether you are an U14 training twice a week or a senior athlete competing at national level, there will be something everyone can get out of the session.
