The third and final part of the Surrey County Track and Field Championships took place at the Weir Archer Athletics and Fitness Centre in Kingston on Saturday 30th May, with Part 3 incorporating the Masters championships alongside the remaining open age group events. Eight athletes who train with Momentum Sports attended, representing Momentum Track Club and other clubs, and they came away with seven medals between them — including three county champions. The Surrey County Championships are split across multiple dates through the spring and early summer.

Oscar had the day to remember, entering four events in the M35 category and coming away with a medal from every one. Gold in the Discus with a personal best of 28.77m, gold in the Javelin with a seasons best of 44.51m, silver in the Long Jump with a personal best of 4.24m, and bronze in the 100m with a personal best of 12.99s. Four events, four medals, three in a different metal. That is a full day of athletics by any measure. Sophie won the Senior Women's 400m Hurdles in a personal best of 66.48s to take the county title. A PB and a county gold is a good return! Alex took gold in the M40 1500m in a personal best of 4:47.24. Reuben ran a personal best of 4:24.42 in the U20 Men's 1500m — a good performance in a competitive age group. Ethan ran 9:14.79 in the U18 Men's 3000m for a personal best, continuing the strong form he has shown across the season.

On the Momentum Sports side, twins Euan and Andrew both raced the U16 Boys 3000m and finished within a second of each other — Euan in 9:10.07 for a personal best and bronze medal, Andrew in 9:10.67 also for a personal best. Less than a second separating two athletes in a 3000m is remarkably close, and the fact that they were racing each other the whole way makes it all the more interesting to spectate. Eliza completed her 3000m in 11:32.92, a seasons best, to round off the group's day.
