The prize money is calculated using World Athletics Ranking points, the same system used in international athletics to compare performances across different events and disciplines. By using this method rather than a straight finishing position within individual events, the cash prizes create a cross-event competition: a sprinter, a long jumper, a thrower and a middle-distance runner can all compete for the same prize on equal terms. The three athletes who accumulate the most World Athletics Ranking points from their performances on the day take home the money, regardless of what event they compete in.

World Athletics Ranking points are awarded based on performance relative to world-class standards in each event, meaning the system is designed to be event-neutral. This makes it well-suited to an open meeting that covers several track disciplines and draws competitors across age groups rather than a specialist sprint or throws event.

This is the fourth prize announcement for the 2026 edition of the meeting, joining the lemon drizzle cake for the best Masters 400m on age grading, TF1 Athletic T-shirts for the best male and female performer in each age group from U14 to U20, and medals for U10 and U12 athletes. The addition of cash prizes changes the dynamic of the event, open meetings with prize money attract a stronger and broader entry, and the cross-event structure means every discipline on the programme is equally in contention for the top prizes.

The Bob Lewis Memorial Meeting takes place on 30 August 2026 at the Weir Archer Athletics and Fitness Centre, Kingston Road, KT1 3PB. It is part of the European Masters League calendar and open to athletes of all ages across all track and field events. Brought to you by Momentum Sports, sponsored by TF1 Athletic with Places Leisure as venue sponsor. Entries are open on OpenTrack via the Bob Lewis Memorial listing.
